Her music is cleanly in the pocket.
Her voice is forceful yet soulful.
Her lyrics are emotionally personal.
This has more of a dub feel but I like the trancey.

i was still asleep yesterday when the alarm went off. i was dreaming someone had reached deep into my little bag’o’soul and had o.d.’d on the marrow. as i stumbled into the living room, i heard elo talking to her sister about a certain potion of which i am fond and that i happen to have in lethal supply.
no shit, i was dreamin’ someone stole my **** and i come out and hear elo talking to her sister about the same rx.
god is fukcing with me, as usual.

i don’t want to go to rehab. no. no. no.
Peeps, blame it on the night. That’s what Calvin recommends.

I kissed a girl and I liked it. The salty taste of her and the sharp sigh/heave sound she made as wiggled my into her hoosis was something I’ll remember all the rest of my day. I mostly blame it on the night, but the night has her own version.
Peeps, Calvin Harris is one of M. and I’s fave jams. This one in particular should be on of yours.

One day in 1981 Bowie reunited with Queen in a recording studio in Switzerland, with the intention of doing vocals for the song “Cool Cat” . David got bored and suggested writing a new song from scratch. According to Mark Blake, author of a biography of Freddie Mercury, they began a 24 hours marathon of wine and cocaine and ended up with this musical gem. This is incredible! Back in the day when auto-tune wasn’t needed. You’d never hear this from most ‘singers’ these days.
This is the best Bowie gem I’ve seen all day.

So here’s your get-enough-rope-might-even-hang jam for today.
